Wishing you a Merry Christmas 2012 and a Happy New Year 2013

This is the time of the year when we look back to learn and reflect, and at the same time looking forward to achieve ahead. Most importantly, it is also the time to get in touch and be connected as we are always busy with our life and work. 

It is coming to a year since I announced our decision to stop our old services (i-Open-House.com). And it is only coming to 5 months since we set our new direction (Mondarlezo.com).

Nonetheless, the ending of one period is the beginning of another. I hereby, wishing you, your family and your love ones the 3 H'es. Healthy, Happy and Hopeful.

Entrepreneur : Orion : Ambiguity

Tonight is the 15th night (or "Zub Gor Mair" in hokkien), which is also the last day of the Chinese New Year celebration. The sky is clear, the moon is full and bright, and the stars are sparkling. While walking back after a simple but good dinner with my wife, we were able to see the Orion constellation clearly. Do you know that you can find the North South East West direction by looking at the Orion? Perhaps you may have already know, but for the benefit of those who do not, I have done an image illustration below.

First, spot the Orion constellation.

Then, look for the Orion's Belt.

There is a bright spot (a nebula - gaseous cloud) below the belt. Opposite it is the North. The left is the East and the right is the West (opposite to the compass).

Video below: Goh Ken-Yi (37), grandson of the late Dr Goh Keng Swee gave a personal glimpse into the life of his doting grandfather.

The part (around 5.27 min) that hits me was:

He (Dr Goh) said:"Ken-Yi, all these doesn't matter. In working life, first and foremost, what you need to be is be a reliable and a responsible person...."

At the end, he shared a quote from one of Dr Goh's favourite book:
